In a bid to combat the ongoing pandemic, Düsseldorf has set up rapid COVID-19 test stations at the ISS Dome. These stations offer both drive-in and walk-in options for citizens, providing easy access to testing services.

Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller has expressed a high level of willingness from private providers to perform free rapid tests and establish testing stations. The drive-in rapid test station at ISS Dome operates from Monday to Sunday, with hours extending from 7 AM to 8 PM on weekdays, 9 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays, and 9 AM to 3 PM on Sundays. The walk-in station is set up in the rear area of the ISS Dome (in front of the VIP entrance), and it caters to those arriving by public transportation or bicycle.

Upon registration and authentication with personal data, test participants can choose to receive digital transmission of their test results. The results are displayed immediately, and a PDF certificate can be downloaded for future reference. Rapid test results can also be digitally transmitted to participants at the Mitsubishi Electric Hall and the ISS Dome.

Security measures have been implemented to prevent data misuse during the digital transmission process. The city has created an interactive map to show testing station locations for citizens, with the location of the rapid test station at ISS Dome clearly marked. Interested parties can book an appointment for a rapid test at the ISS Dome online via the city's booking system corona.duesseldorf.de/schnelltest.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information about local COVID-19 testing sites in Düsseldorf, including details on how to book or visit them, it is recommended to consult the official Düsseldorf municipal website or the website of the Gesundheitsamt (health office) Düsseldorf. These sites typically provide comprehensive and current information about COVID-19 testing infrastructure, including locations, opening times, registration procedures, costs, and test types offered.

The Mayor, Dr. Stephan Keller, is encouraging private providers to perform free rapid COVID-19 tests and establish testing stations in partnership with the city. To support this effort, the city has set up a health-and-wellness initiative, offering science-based rapid testing at the ISS Dome. This initiative aims to promote health and wellness in the community by providing easy access to COVID-19 testing services.
