Trump Administration Pursues Elimination of COVID-19 Vaccination Mandates
In a significant development, COVID-19 vaccine mandates for federal employees have been fully revoked and are no longer enforced. This decision, initiated under the Trump administration to reverse Biden-era policies, was made official on August 8, 2025, by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
The directive orders all federal agencies to remove COVID-19 vaccination records, including compliance, noncompliance, and exemption requests, from employees' personnel files unless the employee opts out within 90 days. From now on, federal agencies are prohibited from using vaccine status in any employment decisions such as hiring, promotion, discipline, or termination.
This decision follows a timeline where the Biden administration initially mandated vaccinations for federal workers in 2021. Courts blocked enforcement in 2022, and the mandate was officially revoked in 2023. OPM has now expanded its guidance to fully expunge vaccine data from records as part of the Trump administration’s effort to reverse "harmful pandemic-era policies." Agencies must comply by September 8, 2025.
The memo aims to ensure that history's most ridiculous, harmful, and absurdist COVID policies can never hurt anyone in this manner again. It also encourages other corporations and entities to follow suit in expunging COVID vaccine-related information from employee records.
All information related to an employee's COVID-19 vaccine status, noncompliance with prior vaccine mandates, or exemption requests must be expunged from employee personnel documents. Employees have the option to opt-out of the document removal within 90 days of the memo, and can request and obtain expungement at any subsequent time.
This move is a major step forward in the goal of destroying the COVID industrial complex. Months after the vaccines were introduced, it became clear that they did not stop transmission. Despite their promotion by the CDC, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the united public health "expert" class, and enactment by corporate executives, numerous policies such as mask mandates, school closures, toddler masking, lockdowns, and business capacity restrictions were implemented during the pandemic.
However, people were denied access to businesses or fired based on their vaccine status due to these mandates. The memo is a significant step towards dismantling the infrastructure of the COVID industrial complex.
