Successfully unveiled: Innovative senior cycling initiative in Borken county - future dates to be announced
New Senior Cycling Initiative Launched in Borken District
The Circular Police Headquarters Borken has announced the launch of a new senior cycling concept, aimed at promoting safety and prevention on the roads, particularly in the district of Borken, which has the highest ownership rate of pedelecs nationwide.
The inaugural event took place on Thursday and saw the participation of twelve seniors and police officers. The launch was a success, with the organizers expressing their satisfaction and inviting all interested seniors to note the upcoming dates in their calendars.
The senior cycling initiative, which is set to occur regularly in the future, was initiated by the traffic department of the circular police headquarters Borken. The focus of the new concept is on safety and prevention, with the emphasis on jointly driving typical danger situations to ensure that the knowledge remains better anchored in everyday life.
The route guidance for the senior cycling events is oriented towards current accident hotspots in the district area. At the launch, police officers provided tips on behavior at intersections and roundabouts, the correct use of cycle paths, and the importance of helmets, lights, and roadworthy equipment.
The senior cycling concept aims to combine the joy of cycling with practical tips for accident prevention. The organizers deliberately limit the number of participants to a maximum of twelve people to ensure a personal and effective learning experience.
Contact for media representatives is available at the Circular Police Headquarters Borken, with Sandra Biedermann, Leonie Dreier, Markus Huls, Peter Lefering, Thorsten Ohm, Muzeyyen Sander, and Tina Schellberg being the designated contacts.
