Sports administrator in Chelyabinsk endorses "Begin at Home" initiative
The Chelyabinsk region in Russia has launched a new initiative called "Start with Yourself" to encourage residents to adopt a healthier lifestyle through sports and physical activities. Vladimir Ivanov, the Minister of Sports of the Chelyabinsk region, initiated the movement.
The "Start with Yourself" movement does not specify a particular type of physical culture or sport that should be demonstrated. Instead, it aims to motivate residents to take part in any activity that suits their interests and abilities.
To join the movement, residents can participate in various activities such as joining local sports clubs or groups affiliated with the movement, attending community sports events, fitness classes, or competitions, utilising public sports infrastructure developed or promoted by the program, and engaging in awareness campaigns to motivate others.
Elena Yerm functions, the head of the regional Directorate of Sports Events and the GTO complex, is currently continuing the "Start with Yourself" movement. She encourages South Ural residents to engage regularly in physical culture and dedicate some time each day to physical exercises, such as jogging or morning workouts.
In a recent video posted on social networks, Elena Yerm functions invited residents to join the "Start with Yourself" movement and recorded a video of herself swimming in a pool. She emphasised that engaging in sports and leading a healthy lifestyle is always prestigious and relevant.
To participate, residents should record a short video of themselves engaging in physical culture and sports. The video should be posted on social networks with the hashtag #startwithyourself74.
The goal of the "Start with Yourself" movement is to raise the prestige of regular physical culture activities in the Chelyabinsk region. For precise details on the Chelyabinsk region's movement, including official organiser contacts, event schedules, or registration methods, it is best to consult local government sports department websites, community centres, or official social media channels dedicated to the program.
