The 2025 Memento Day Event

The 2025 Memento Day event will take place in the heart of Meiningen, Germany. It will be conducted in German, English, and German Sign Language (DGS) to ensure accessibility. The event will feature information booths where attendees can learn about various support options for the final stages of life.

Cinema Presentation: "The Last Beautiful Day"

A highlight of the 2025 Memento Day event is the cinema presentation of "The Last Beautiful Day." This family drama sensitively and realistically explores the difficult topic of suicide. On August 8, 2025, at 5 PM, a unique cinema presentation will take place at the city church in Meiningen as part of Memento Day.

Participating Organisations

Both the Sozialwerk Meiningen gGmbH and Helios Klinikum Meiningen will have information booths at Memento Day. The Sozialwerk Meiningen gGmbH will showcase their inpatient hospice in Meiningen, their ambulant children and youth hospice service, their specialized ambulant palliative care, their ambulant hospice and palliative care consultation, and their palliative care unit.

Helios Klinikum Meiningen will present their palliative care service at information booths on Memento Day. The city church in Meiningen is hosting this year's Memento Day event.
