On the flip side, 1,849 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the past 24 hours. That puts the current number of individuals receiving treatment for COVID-19 in Kazakhstan at an alarming 30,872. Of those, 682 are in critical condition.

From May 27, 30,872 individuals are still battling COVID-19 (30,297 COVID+ and 575 COVID-). Out of this pool, 11,724 are hospitalized, while 19,148 are under outpatient care. The current status of those infected with COVID+ and COVID- is as follows:

  • critical condition: 682 patients
  • extremely critical condition: 166 patients
  • on a ventilator: 100 patients

Lastly, a recent uptick in pneumonia cases with COVID-19 symptoms was reported on May 25, with 107 cases detected, and 97 individuals recovering from the virus. Since August 1, Kazakhstan has recorded:

  • infected: 54,944
  • deaths: 893
  • recovered: 51,020
