In a rally held in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh on his 75th birthday on September 17, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation. The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of buying Indian products, urging all 140 crore Indians to support domestic manufacturing.

As part of the new GST reforms, set to be implemented from September 22, PM Modi urged citizens to embrace the 'swadesi' movement. He suggested that every shop should display a board saying, "Garv se Kaho, ye swadesi hai" (Proudly say, it's swadesi).

PM Modi also highlighted the significance of this movement during festivals, stating that the mantra of 'swadesi' products should be repeated during these celebrations. He explained that by buying made-in-India products, money stays within the country and can be used for developmental projects.

The Prime Minister also launched the 'Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar' and 'Rashtriya Poshan Maah' campaigns from Dhar district. These initiatives aim to empower women and improve nutrition in India.

In his speech, PM Modi also spoke of Operation Sindoor, a military operation carried out by Indian soldiers. He asserted that terrorists from Pakistan had wiped off the 'sindoor' (vermilion) of Indian sisters and daughters, symbolising the attack on Indian women's honour. Operation Sindoor, according to PM Modi, destroyed terror launch pads in Pakistan.

PM Modi also emphasised India's commitment to its security, stating that India, in this "new India", is not afraid of nuclear threats. He reiterated that India gives utmost priority to the security of "Mother India".

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of the Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Park during the rally. This initiative is expected to boost the textile industry in India.
