Casa Boost Transforms Yoga Sessions with Immersive Projections

Casa Boost, a wellness studio in Geneva, Switzerland, has taken its yoga experience to a new level with the help of Christie Captiva DWU500S ultra-short throw laser projectors. The studio, which aims to create a holistic environment for physical and emotional transformation, now offers vibrant visuals that enhance meditation and movement sessions [1][4].

The choice of Christie Captiva projectors was strategic, given the studio's narrow, elongated room with limited projection distance and architectural obstacles. The ultra-short throw capability of these projectors ensures focus and brightness without creating shadows, even in a full class [1].

The installation process was challenging due to structural constraints, load-bearing requirements, and a tight one-day window for setup. To overcome these hurdles, Moonlight Drive, the project's partner, planned everything remotely, using precise measurements and 3D simulations. This meticulous approach allowed for an efficient onsite installation that exceeded Casa Boost's expectations [4].

The final setup includes not only the ultra-short throw projectors but also a content server with dual outputs, ambient audio, and automated scheduling synchronized with the yoga classes. This integrated system creates a seamless blend of projection technology, sound, and movement, supporting the studio's goal to create a unique, immersive environment [4].

The projection surface, painted in a neutral gray tone, displays looped video content tailored to each class. The visuals, delivered in 3840x1200 resolution, blend harmoniously with the session's rhythm at Casa Boost [1][4].

The project was initiated by The Good Brand, which connected Casa Boost with Moonlight Drive. The studio wanted to break away from traditional yoga class formats and create a space where projection would support the emotional journey of each session [1][4].

Two Christie Captiva DWU500S projectors were installed side by side to create a seamless blend on the projection surface. The built-in edge blending and warping capabilities of the Captiva projectors were utilized to overcome structural challenges in the room [1][4].

The Christie Captiva projectors were supplied by Christie partner Charmex. With their 5000 lumens of brightness, ultra-short throw lenses (0.25:1), and quiet, low-profile operation, these projectors have proven to be an ideal solution for Casa Boost's unique spatial requirements [1][4].

The immersive classes have been a success with Casa Boost's studio community. The client was immediately impressed by the immersive classes following the project's completion [1][4]. Casa Boost is a carefully curated space where light, sound, and movement converge to inspire physical and mental transformation.

  1. The integration of smart-home devices, such as the Christie Captiva DWU500S ultra-short throw laser projectors and a content server with dual outputs, ambient audio, and automated scheduling, have transformed Casa Boost into a tech-focused health-and-wellness studio, emphasizing fitness-and-exercise, mental-health, and overall mental-wellbeing.
  2. Technology plays a significant role in Casa Boost's sessions, with features such as immersive projections, looped video content tailored to each class, and a seamless blend of projection technology, sound, and movement, driving the emotional journey of meditation and movement sessions.
  3. Given its narrow, elongated room with limited projection distance and architectural obstacles, Casa Boost chose the Christie Captiva projectors for their ultra-short throw capability, which delivers focus and brightness without creating shadows, even in a full class.
  4. The success of Casa Boost's immersive classes highlights the potential for science and technology to improve health-and-wellness, as well as the fusion of these worlds, demonstrating how gadgets and smart-home devices can contribute to wellness studio experiences and support physical and mental transformation.
