MedTech Conference 2025 Breaks Records With 3,708 Attendees
The MedTech Conference 2025, organized by MedTech World and hosted by AdvaMed in San Diego, drew a record-breaking 3,708 attendees and representatives from 1,800 companies across 38 countries. The event, which coincided with the MedTech Association's 50th anniversary, celebrated the theme 'Medtech redefines the future of health care'.
Scott Whitaker, president and CEO of the MedTech Association, commended the attendees' enthusiasm and dedication to improving healthcare. The conference featured hundreds of sessions, including keynotes, panels, and competitions, as well as a town hall with FDA CDRH leaders and a Patient Pavilion. International exhibitors and speakers from 38 countries brought a global perspective to the event.
Mike Mussallem, former CEO of Edwards Lifesciences, was honoured with the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award. This year's conference also saw the highest member company participation ever, with many organizations sending their largest delegations to date. MedTech Innovator awarded $450,000 to five startups, with Armor Medical taking home the $350,000 Grand Prize.
The MedTech Conference 2025, held from October 5–8, successfully brought together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to discuss and shape the future of healthcare technology. The next conference is set to take place in Boston, Oct. 18-21, 2026, at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center (MCEC).
