Increases Healthcare Digital Speed Solutions through Enquizit Acquisition by CDW

CDW, a multibrand IT provider to both the public and private sectors, has announced the acquisition of Enquizit, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud solutions provider. This strategic move significantly strengthens CDW's offerings in the payer, provider, and life sciences domains, particularly in the areas of cloud migration, security, and compliance.

Enquizit's professional services, including application modernization, cloud transformation, and cybersecurity, complement CDW's existing commercial-focused Digital Velocity practice. The acquisition adds extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing mission-critical applications to CDW's offerings, further bolstering its capabilities in the healthcare sector.

One of the key benefits of the acquisition is the integration of Enquizit's AI-powered cloud migration accelerators into CDW's services. These tools, such as SkyMap, use AWS AI and machine learning to determine an organization's optimal path for securely migrating data to the cloud quickly and affordably. By automating and accelerating the assessment, planning, and migration of healthcare workloads to cloud environments, these accelerators reduce complexity, time, and risk associated with cloud adoption.

The acquisition also strengthens CDW's HIPAA compliance frameworks. Enquizit's expertise in ensuring compliance with HIPAA and PHI regulations in the payer, provider, and life sciences domains further strengthens CDW's cloud offerings. Automated compliance checks and real-time monitoring via AI tools help identify and remediate potential vulnerabilities or gaps, maintaining data integrity and safeguarding patient information.

The acquisition adds significant value to CDW's Digital Velocity Services team. With Enquizit's expertise now on board, the team can help organizations automate their digital infrastructure, implement DevSecOps, and migrate it to the cloud more effectively. This supports digital transformation initiatives focused on interoperability, data analytics, telehealth, and AI-driven patient care by providing a robust and compliant cloud foundation.

The acquisition was facilitated by a nearly $4 million contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in July 2022, for the modernization of the CDC's National Electronic Disease Surveillance System Base System. This contract further underscores the value that Enquizit brings to CDW's offerings, particularly in the public sector.

Andy Eccles, senior vice president of integrated technology solutions at CDW, stated that Enquizit complements CDW’s existing Digital Velocity practice. TC Ratnapuri, founder and chairman of Enquizit, stated that the company has grown rapidly due to a series of government contract wins and decided to join CDW after a thorough analysis.

In summary, the Enquizit acquisition equips CDW to deliver AI-accelerated, secure, and HIPAA-compliant cloud migration solutions. This empowers healthcare organizations to modernize their digital infrastructure rapidly and securely, facilitating innovation while protecting sensitive patient data throughout the cloud journey.

Science and technology continue to intertwine in the acquisition of Enquizit by CDW, as the integration of Enquizit's AI-powered cloud migration accelerators into CDW's services promises to expedite secure and HIPAA-compliant healthcare data migration to the cloud. This collaboration enhances CDW's offerings in the health-and-wellness sector, leveraging data-and-cloud-computing technology to advance digital transformation, interoperability, and AI-driven patient care.
