In Kamchatka, you can now rent essential first aid supplies for children.
In Kamchatka Krai, a social protection initiative has been launched to support families caring for young children. As of 2024, 14 rental points for essential children's items are operational in the region, based in nine social service organisations.
These rental points are part of the social protection system and fall under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Family Policy. They aim to meet the needs of families in various circumstances, including large and foster families with an average per capita income below the regional average, who can avail of the service at a 50% discount.
All other categories of families can use the rental points on a paid basis. The rental points in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, for instance, cater to families with children with disabilities, while those in other locations serve families in crisis, such as women with children who have been admitted to a crisis center for victims of domestic violence.
Non-working pensioners and disabled individuals who are parents of children under three years old can also utilize the rental points. The rental points in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky stock over 600 units of children's goods and items, which are restocked as needed.
In 2024, 114 families utilized the rental service for children's items, ensuring that many young lives are being positively impacted by this initiative. The rental of these items is free of charge, making it an accessible solution for families in need.
For more information about the rental points, you can contact the regional social protection department at 8 (4152) 46-77-75, 42-71-50. This service is yet another testament to Kamchatka Krai's commitment to providing comprehensive social support for its residents.
