RB Leipzig Adds Hungarian Defender Diána Németh to Their Ranks

RB Leipzig has acquired the services of Hungarian international Diána Németh from VfL Wolfsburg. The 20-year-old defender has signed a five-and-a-half year contract with the Bundesliga club, set to expire on June 30, 2028.

"Nemeth is a versatile defender with strong offensive skills, offering precise passes, tenacious defense, and valuable international experience," said Viola Odebrecht, women's and girls' football head at RB Leipzig.

A product of the Ferencváros Budapest academy, Nemeth made her debut in the Hungarian first division at the tender age of 15. In her time with the Hungarian record champions, she played 22 league games and six Champions League qualifiers. Nemeth donned the VfL Wolfsburg jersey for her Bundesliga debut in April 2024, securing a win against SC Freiburg. Since October 2021, she has been a regular fixture for the Hungarian national team, having played 16 games so far.

Nemeth, now RB's ninth signing, showcases both defensive resilience and offensive contributions, making her a valuable asset to Leipzig in the Frauen-Bundesliga.
