During his time at Eastman, Dr. Bansbach honed his skills in advanced orthodontics, with a particular focus on treating patients with receding gums. His work in this area has been recognised for its innovation and safety, setting a new standard for orthodontic procedures.
Born and raised in Brighton, NY, Dr. Bansbach's journey to becoming an orthodontist was not a straightforward one. If not for his passion for dentistry, he might have pursued a career as an attorney. However, his love for healthcare and his desire to make a difference in people's lives led him to dentistry.
At Eastman, Dr. Bansbach's journey saw significant growth. He expanded his procedure volume, learned to balance multiple columns, and improved his patient and practice management skills. These experiences have prepared him well for his future private practice and potential part-time teaching roles.
Florida is Dr. Bansbach's favourite travel destination, but his heart lies in the sports field, particularly baseball. He finds joy in watching or playing the game, a passion inspired by his family, girlfriend Karen, and a host of mentors, including Thomas Suranyi, Dr. Michael Mayer, Dr. Michael Yunker, Dr. Dan Barletta, Dr. Abayon, and the incredible GPR residents and faculty at Eastman.
Dr. Bansbach's favourite advice is to make today the best day. He values family and friends highly, and this advice reflects his commitment to living each day to the fullest. His best memory of his EIOH residency was working with the great residents and faculty, an experience he cherishes deeply.
As he looks to the future, Dr. Bansbach is considering specialising in Perio or OMFS. After graduation, he plans to continue his work in private practice, and possibly take on part-time teaching roles. With his dedication, innovation, and passion for dentistry, there is no doubt that Dr. Jack Bansbach will continue to make significant contributions to the field of orthodontics.
