Generous Contribution for a Noble Purpose: Bremen-based OxyCare Gathering Donations to Celebrate Their 25th Anniversary
In the heart of Bremen, Germany, OxyCare, a leading provider of patient care with oxygen devices and accessories, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special event that brought together 280 employees, business partners, and friends. The occasion was not just a celebration of the company's success, but also an opportunity to give back to the community.
OxyCare, founded in 1999, specializes in the distribution of therapeutic devices for the heart, lungs, and breathing, including oxygen therapy devices and breathing equipment for patients with conditions such as COPD, sleep apnea, asthma, bronchitis, cancer, or heart failure. The company's online shop serves a diverse, international customer base, offering a multilingual platform for its products.
The highlight of the celebration was the collection of donations for four charitable organizations: KlinikClowns e.V. (Freising, Bavaria), children's hospice Löwenherz e.V. (Syke), mobile children's hospice Jona (Bremen), and Haus Mara for severely disabled children from the Friedehorst Foundation (Bremen). The total donation amount was a significant 35,000 euros, with the company's founder, Peter Peschel, doubling the donation.
KlinikClowns, one of the recipients, uses costumes and performances to help children forget their illness and laugh, contributing positively to their recovery. Children's hospices, like Löwenherz and Jona, provide emotional support for children and their families in addition to medical care. Haus Mara, supported by the Friedehorst Foundation, helps severely disabled children in various areas such as care, inclusion, and education.
OxyCare's charitable work extends beyond its home city, with its OxyCare Uganda initiative focusing on sustainable healthcare in communities with limited access to medical oxygen. The company aims to maintain and service oxygen concentrators crucial for saving lives in these underserved regions.
With approximately 250 employees and international branches in Austria and Bulgaria, OxyCare continues to make a difference in the healthcare industry, both commercially and philanthropically. For more information, visit www.oxycare-gmbh.de.
