The XII Russian Biotechnology Forum OpenBio is set to take place from September 23 to 26 in the scientific town of Koltsovo, Novosibirsk region. This key event in the field of biotechnology promises an extensive agenda, spanning all four days, and will bring together scientists, business representatives, government officials, and investors.

The forum, founded by Yulia Linyushina, will focus on discussing current issues, trends, and prospects for the development of the Russian biotechnology industry. Three interdisciplinary sessions are planned: Synthetic biology, Genomic and biomedical technologies, and Application of mRNA technologies in oncology.

One of the highlights of the forum will be the presentation of a new method for personalized cancer therapy. This innovative approach, to be unveiled for the first time, is expected to revolutionize the field of oncology.

The roundtable on "Metabolic Health and Microbiome" will explore the interaction of microbiotas with the brain and the regulation of appetite. The discussion will focus on GLP-1-based drugs and their connection to microbiotas, and will provide advice on improving the microbiome.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a key topic at OpenBio, accelerating progress in biotechnology, including drug development, diagnostics, and personalized therapy. The "Bioinformatics" section will delve into cases and specialist training related to AI.

The scientific conference will feature six thematic sections: Virology, Bioinformatics, Fundamental Medicine, Biotechnology, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology. One of the notable events within the forum will be the symposium "Engineering the Living: Technologies of the Future of Medicine and Bioproducts". Topics for discussion include challenges facing the industry, innovative solutions, and new technologies.

The forum's program covers a wide range of topics, including global health research, bio- and medical technologies, production, regulatory issues, and import substitution. The Synthetic biology session will focus on creating new biological systems, industry state, technology transfer, equipment import substitution, and digitization of biosystems.
