Eli Health Launches Hormometer: First At-Home Real-Time Hormone Tracker

Eli Health, a female-led health tech startup, has introduced Hormometer, the first at-home system for real-time hormone tracking. The device, not yet FDA-approved but registered for cortisol and progesterone testing, is marketed under the FDA's General Wellness Policy. It aims to make hormone level checking more accessible and affordable.

The Hormometer works by collecting a saliva sample at home, which is then scanned using a smartphone. Results are available within 20 minutes, providing users with immediate insights into their cortisol levels. The device is primarily focused on cortisol, a stress hormone, and offers a convenient alternative to traditional methods that require doctor's visits and blood tests.

The Hormometer isn't a wearable but can complement existing devices like smartwatches that track metrics such as heart rate, sleep, and stress. It brings cortisol tracking into daily life, making it as trackable as sleep, HRV, or glucose.

Eli Health plans to expand hormone testing options, adding progesterone later this year and testosterone early next year. The AI-powered Eli app scans the test, converts the signal into a precise value, and provides actionable suggestions based on the results.

Nearly half of women in the US aged 30 to 60 have experienced symptoms of hormonal imbalance, which can be affected by cortisol levels. The Hormometer subscription options cost $32 per month for a 12-month subscription, with a 3-month supply delivered every 3 months, or $48 per month for a 6-month subscription.

The Hormometer's public launch marks a significant step in making hormone tracking more accessible and convenient. By providing real-time cortisol levels at home, it empowers users to better understand and manage their stress levels. With plans to expand hormone testing options, Eli Health continues to innovate in the health tech space, addressing a common health concern among women.
