Economic Cost for Women in Augusta
The city of Augsburg played host to a significant event on October 23rd, 2025, as the Augusta - Women in Business Award was presented. This prestigious ceremony honours exceptional women in the business world and their entrepreneurial achievements.
This year, Ariane Grandel, the founder of Grandel - The Beautyness Company, was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year. Her innovative approach and commitment to excellence have made her a beacon of inspiration in the world of beauty and cosmetics.
While there are no explicit search results listing the 2025 winners of the Augusta - Women in Business Award's specific categories, such as Businesswoman of the Year, Innovator of the Year, Social Entrepreneur of the Year, or Newcomer of the Year, the event attracted a great deal of attention.
Notable mentions include Lisa Figas, from TelemetryDeck GmbH, who was awarded Tech Pioneer of the Year, and Marwa Klink, from MT Aerospace AG, who was honoured as Newcomer of the Year.
The award ceremony also recognised Dr. Bärbel Götz, from BMK Group GmbH & Co. KG, as Manager of the Year, and Eva Weber, the Mayor and initiator of the Augusta - Women in Business Award, emphasised the importance of recognising women's achievements and raising awareness.
The jury for the awards consisted of renowned experts from business, science, and politics, and nominations were invited from companies, institutions, and individuals. The deadline for submitting nominations was extended to August 15, 2025, and could be done online via an application form.
The award aims to inspire and serve as a role model, promote equality and equal opportunities, provide public recognition and awareness, support innovation and entrepreneurship, and facilitate networking and mentoring.
Eva Rössler, a female leader advocating for diversity, women's advancement, and gender equality, hosted the award ceremony. The event was designed to honour the diversity of different areas and aspects of the economy, with the award being given in four categories.
Nominations should include a description of the professional and economic achievements and their impact on the economy. The "Entrepreneur of the Year" category honours female role models for the entrepreneurial ecosystem, founders of startups (at least 3 years) or established companies.
The "Innovator of the Year" category recognises women who make a significant contribution to the innovation hub of Augsburg through their outstanding innovative achievements in a company or research institute.
The "Businesswoman of the Year" category recognises outstanding leadership, innovation, and social responsibility in the business world, with a focus on economic success. The "Social Entrepreneur of the Year" category honours women who have a positive impact on society through their company and serve as role models for corporate social responsibility, integrating ecological, social, and economic factors into business activities.
The Augusta - Women in Business Award is more than just an accolade; it's a symbol of progress, a testament to the power of women in business, and a call to action for continued growth and innovation. As we look forward to next year's event, let us remember the words of Ariane Grandel, this year's Entrepreneur of the Year: "Every success begins with a dream, and every dream deserves to be realised."
