22nd Century Technologies Expands Tysons Headquarters, Creating 880 Tech Jobs

22nd Century Technologies, a leading IT contractor, has announced plans to expand its Tysons headquarters in Virginia, investing $1 million in the project. The expansion is expected to generate approximately 880 high-paying technology jobs, with the support of the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP).

Located at the EastBoro I office building on 8251 Greensboro Drive, this expansion aligns with 22nd Century Technologies' significant presence and contracts across federal agencies. With over 5,000 employees and $1.2 billion in federal contracts, the company focuses on sectors including military, intelligence, health, and life sciences IT.

The company's mission is to help public sector, healthcare, and national security customers navigate change and innovation, aiming to be a trusted advisor in solving mission-critical problems and improving the lives of citizens. In addition to its own expansion, 22nd Century Technologies is also part of a joint venture, AcmeSolv, which has been awarded a $43 billion IDIQ contract by the Defense Health Agency (DHA). AcmeSolv, a collaboration between 22nd Century Technologies and Agovx LLC, provides medical, dental, nursing, ancillary, and physician staffing services across Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.

Agovx LLC, with over a hundred employees, boasts over eight years of experience in information technology (IT) across the U.S. Military, Intelligence, Civilian, and Federal Health markets. Their core competencies include IT Infrastructure Support, Enterprise Service Desk, Cloud Modernization, RPA and Salesforce Implementation, Oracle Financials Implementation, Training, and IT Modernization (Agile Development, DevSecOps).

The VJIP, which provides funding and consulting services to assist with recruiting and training new employees, will support 22nd Century Technologies' expansion. This state-supported workforce initiative is designed to foster economic growth and job creation in Virginia.
