Crisis areas pinpointed in Anapa and Temryuk cities
In the Temryuk district and Anapa, there's a huge no-go zone on the Black Sea coastline, stretching from Volna to Veselovka, and within the city limits of Anapa, specifically from Veselovka to the Utrish Nature Reserve. Swimmers, tourists, and even local residents are barred from visiting these beaches and coastlines due to potential hazards.
The operational brass of Krasnodar Territory announced these restrictions on June 3. Not only does the order prohibit people from dipping in the sea, but it also prevents them from accessing the coastal territory itself, including all beach activities such as sunbed rentals and water attraction rentals.
The only exceptions to these prohibitions are emergency responders and individuals working on those territories. In case of further restrictions, the areas may be enclosed by fences, and information boards will be installed to keep the public informed about the territory's status.
As previously highlighted, all the beaches of Anapa are closed for visits, with swimming in the sea also prohibited. This rule applies to nine beaches in the Temryuk district and the territory from Veselovka to the Crimean Bridge.
The regional health ministry's big boss, Evgeny Filipov, explained the reasoning behind these restrictions, citing potential health issues arising from contact with the oil spill contaminants on Anapa's beaches. These chemicals can trigger an array of symptoms like skin irritation, allergic reactions, and respiratory problems.
On a more practical note, the contaminated soil from Rostov is being collected by LLC "Biopotential" in the Temryuk district, eventually stored in a special technological platform. This quick cleanup effort aims to alleviate the damage caused by the fuel oil spill, making sure the beaches become safe for everyone as soon as possible.

- The ongoing health concerns related to the oil spill contaminants on the Black Sea coastline necessitate the implementation of stringent environmental-science precautions, as highlighted by the regional health ministry's announcement.
- In light of the specific health risks associated with oil spills (as outlined by the CDC), it is crucial that extensive cleanup technologies and inventions (as discussed in ScienceDirect) are employed to mitigate the impact of the fuel oil spill on the environment, public health, and wellness.
