New Children's Hospital in Nuremberg Scheduled for Early 2027

A new children's hospital is currently under construction at Nuremberg's South Clinic, with an estimated budget of €140 million. The Free State is contributing approximately €120 million towards this project.

The hospital, once completed, is expected to serve children from Nuremberg, Schwabach, and Roth. It will be located in the heart of Nuremberg, making it easily accessible for families in the region.

The state-of-the-art facility will offer top-notch medicine, as stated by Nuremberg's Lord Mayor Marcus König. It will feature a special emergency ambulance for children, a child-friendly MRI, and will consolidate all specialties in pediatric and adolescent medicine.

Operations at the new children's hospital are scheduled to begin in early 2027. However, the exact month of the opening has not been specified. The construction process is progressing as planned, with the hospital expected to start functioning at the beginning of the year.

Despite the construction being ongoing, the excitement for the new hospital is building. The new facility is anticipated to greatly benefit the entire metropolitan region, providing improved pediatric medical services.

As the construction nears completion, the community eagerly awaits the opening of the new children's hospital in Nuremberg.

The new children's hospital, located in the heart of Nuremberg, will not only offer advanced medical care but also promote health-and-wellness through its child-friendly MRI and other specialized pediatric services. Upon its scheduled opening in early 2027, this state-of-the-art facility is expected to significantly contribute to the science of medicine, particularly in the field of pediatrics, for children from Nuremberg, Schwabach, and Roth.
