Apple Launches New Health Studies on Hearing, Menstrual Cycles, and Heart Health

Apple is expanding its health research initiatives with several new studies. The tech giant is collaborating with renowned institutions to examine hearing health, menstrual cycles, and cardiovascular health.

The Apple Hearing Study, a first-of-its-kind project, is underway with the University of Michigan. This study aims to understand how everyday sound exposure impacts hearing over time. It is being conducted in collaboration with the university's Department of Otolaryngology and the Kellogg Eye Center for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Apple is also delving into women's health with the Apple Women's Health Study. Partnering with Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and NIH's NIEHS, this study seeks to inform screening and risk assessment of conditions such as PCOS, infertility, osteoporosis, pregnancy, and menopausal transition.

In the realm of cardiovascular health, Apple has launched the Apple Heart and Movement Study. This initiative, in collaboration with Brigham and Women's Hospital and the American Heart Association, aims to promote healthy movement and improve cardiovascular health by studying heart rate and mobility signals in relation to health outcomes.

These studies, conducted in collaboration with prestigious institutions, underscore Apple's commitment to advancing health research. The findings could potentially enhance hearing health, women's health, and cardiovascular health, benefiting users worldwide.
