Affidea, a significant medical chain in Europe, expands its presence in Romania by opening three additional clinics.

Affidea Romania, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging, outpatient care, and cancer treatment services, has revealed plans to invest over 100 million euros in 2025. This significant investment will be directed towards expanding the national network and equipping clinics with the most modern investigation equipment [1][2][3].

The expansion, announced by Răzvan Predica, the Cluster CEO for Affidea in Romania, Hungary, and Greece, includes the acquisition of three new medical centres in Otopeni, Miercurea Ciuc, and Braila. This move will increase the national network to 74 multidisciplinary clinics across 32 cities [1][4].

Affidea Romania offers a comprehensive range of services, including imaging services such as CT, MRI, PET-CT, scintigraphy, mammography, radiography, ultrasound, DEXA, and laboratory tests. The company also provides medical recovery and telemedicine services, oncology treatments like chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and consultations for all medical specialties [4].

In 2024, Affidea Romania recorded a turnover of RON 120 million (EUR 24 million), marking a substantial increase from RON 93 million in 2023. The company's net profit for the same year was RON 14.6 million (EUR 3 million) [5][6].

The Affidea group, of which Affidea Romania is a part, is the largest European provider of diagnostic imaging, outpatient care, and cancer treatment, operating approximately 410 centres in 15 countries [7]. In Romania, the company employed 285 people in 2024 [6].
