MSC Wins 'Insight Communication' Award for Outdoor Safety Prevention
MSC has been awarded the 'Insight Communication' prize at the Research Association Effectiveness Awards 2021. The organisation's nomination was centred around its insight development, bespoke research, and prevention-focused communication, particularly in the field of New Zealand's outdoors.
The win was due to MSC's effective communication of safety measures, which led to a significant positive impact. The tramping safety videos, a specific research project by MSC, were highly successful and contributed to this achievement.
The judges commended MSC for demonstrating how sound research can have an impact when clearly communicated to relevant audiences. They also praised the organisation for providing real utility for its industry, peers, partners, and the public.
The entry was an example of how well-executed insights can have a significant positive impact on the behaviours of hard-to-reach audiences. MSC's insights led to effective communication and deeper stakeholder engagement.
The Director of Research NZ, Emanuel Kalafatelis, expressed pride in the organisation's research project that has a real impact. He stated, "This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the MSC team."
The MSC Chief Executive expressed delight that the organisation had been recognised for its commitment to being evidence-based and ability to develop and communicate insights. They also took the opportunity to acknowledge all award finalists for their tremendous work.
