Hoteliers in Krasnodar Resorts Urged to Prioritize Guest Safety and Humanitarian Care

In response to a recent incident at Sirius, the Association of Hoteliers AMOS has reminded the hospitality industry in Krasnodar resorts about the importance of humanitarianism and key safety principles. The association has called on hoteliers to develop action algorithms for emergency situations, prioritizing guest safety and humanitarian care.

Andrei Proshunin, head of the Sochi resort, has given instructions at a city operational headquarters meeting for hoteliers to use civil defense facilities for shelter in case of emergencies. The Sochi administration has responded to the letter, instructing hoteliers to follow these guidelines.

Dmitry Bogdanov, chairman of the AMOS Hoteliers Association's Expert Council and vice-president of the National Union of Hospitality Industry, stated that the hotel business is built on service and responsibility for people's lives and well-being. He added that refusal to help, especially when lives are at risk, is unacceptable.

In the incident at Sirius, a family with three children, not staying at the hotel, was denied shelter during a drone attack. This underscores the need for hoteliers to be prepared for emergencies and to prioritize the safety and well-being of all individuals, regardless of whether they are guests or not.

Recommended emergency response strategies for hoteliers typically include prioritizing guest safety and humanitarian care, implementing comprehensive emergency preparedness training for all staff, maintaining up-to-date and accessible emergency equipment, establishing protocols for continuous guest communication during emergencies, and planning for post-emergency assistance.

Hoteliers are also urged to train staff in decision-making ethics in critical situations and to develop action algorithms for emergency situations. These action algorithms include providing temporary accommodation for non-guests in safe zones.

The association has appealed to municipal authorities for assistance in creating additional shelters in tourist hotspots. In case of a "General Attention" signal and drone threat, residents and tourists should use any nearby enclosed space without glazing that is accessible for shelter.

As a general principle, the hotel industry is built on service and responsibility for people's lives and well-being. In emergencies, decisions should be based on humanitarian considerations, not just formal rules. Hoteliers are encouraged to follow these guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals in their care.

Science and health-and-wellness are essential factors that hoteliers in Krasnodar resorts must consider to prioritize guest safety and humanitarian care. Informing staff about emergency response strategies, which include deciding based on humanitarian considerations and providing temporary accommodation for non-guests in safe zones, can significantly contribute to the health and well-being of all individuals in a crisis.
