70-Year-Old Rescued After Stroke-Like Symptoms in Remote Yakutia River Area

Emergency services rushed to the aid of a 70-year-old man in Namsky District, Yakutia, after he reported stroke-like symptoms on September 30th. The man, who was in the Kengkeme River area, was eventually transported to a medical facility in Yakutsk the following day.

At 22:40 on September 30th, a team comprising two rescuers and four medics was dispatched to the scene. The man had contacted his wife using a satellite phone, expressing his need for assistance due to suspected stroke symptoms. After a night-long rescue operation, the injured man was transported to a medical facility in Yakutsk at 06:40 on October 1st.

The 70-year-old man was safely transported to Yakutsk for further medical care. The swift response of the rescue teams, involving personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and local search and rescue teams, ensured his safe evacuation from the remote Kengkeme River area.
